Description

You can find it in Midden under the College of Winterhold. There are two entrances (manholes in the floor):
In the Support Hall under the stairs.

It is an alternative to the regular forge for the mage. If you didn't originally invest skill points in blacksmithing, but invested them in sorcery, then the Atronach Forge is a good tool for making Daedric equipment (Daedra hearts can also be crafted for it at the forge). Some items will require a Sigil Stone to craft, and to obtain it, you need a Spellcraft skill of 90 and a quest to learn the corresponding ritual spell (to complete it, talk to the master of spellcasting at the College of Winterhold).

You can easily create things without spending ingredients.
